The 2023 EU AgriResearch Conference

The 2023 EU AgriResearch Conference

We would like to inform you that the European Commission, Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development is organising the 2023 EU AgriResearch Conference on 31 May – 1 June 2023. The event will be held at the SQUARE Brussels Convention Centre.

The main objective of the conference is to discuss on the R&I achievements, gaps and needs in agriculture and rural areas. I would like to highlight that on the second day, the 1st June, we are organising different parallel breakout sessions (BOS) on eight areas (see the programmes in the web). One of these session will be on ‘Challenges and opportunities for healthy and sustainable livestock systems’. The scope of this session is broad and it will address several aspects of livestock farming systems such as animal health and welfare, environmental and climate impacts, use of natural resources, system approach, socio-economics, etc., with the aim to identify needs and priorities for future EU R&I programming.
