A Spanish Porcine Reproductiveand Respiratory Syndrome Virus 1 StrainIs Highly Virulentin Pigs Under Experimental Conditions

We are pleased to announce that UDL team has published a paper related with the infection model of high virulence PRRSV strains useful for new vaccines testing . The aim of this study was to thoroughly characterize a highly virulent PRRSV-1strain in vitro and in pigs under experimental conditions using intranasal and intramuscular infection routes with the intranasal mimicking the natural route of infection thus useful in vaccine efficacy studies.

The paper is available online  http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/tbed/4847981
