VISIT TO THE EXPERIMENTAL FARM DURING THE REPRODIVAC ANNUAL MEETING
During the annual meeting of the Reprodivac´s project (Lleida, Spain 31st August-1st september, 2026), the participants visit one experimental farm belonging to the Vall companys´group (https://lnkd.in/eP7xsU96) in Spain on 1st September 2026. This company is the biggest livestock producer in Spain and Europe and one of the main producers of pigs worldwide. Mr Joan Jovellar, director of the fattening pig section, of the company present the company and the practical research carried out in this facility to the Reprodivac´s members (https://lnkd.in/eMvHjCbQ). It was highlighted the relevance of using vaccines to efficiently control diseases and reduce the use of antimicrobials. Mr Joan Jovellar remind to the researchers the relevance of controlling diseases efficiently from the welfare, productive and economic point of view with a direct impact on sustainability of rural areas. In particular, he encourages us to develop an efficient vaccine to control porcine reproductive and respiratory virus syndrome that it is the most important virus disease affecting pigs.
