REPRODIVAC - Next-generation vaccines and diagnostics to prevent livestock reproductive diseases of worldwide impact

University of Lleida (UdL) is a public university, located in the city of Lleida, that is the fourth best university in Spain in teaching and the seventh in research (ISSUE 2015 study). Its mission is the generation, dissemination, and application of knowledge.

UdL currently manages research projects to improve the quality of pork meat (projects of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation since 2010) as well as projects aimed at improving pig resilience through research on the genetic components of this resilience in general and on the porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome virus that have European funding (FEDER funds since 2017) and national (projects of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation since 2018).

Finally, UdL has permanent collaboration contracts with the GSP (associate partner of REPRODIVAC), since 2016, in epidemiology and pharmacology to optimize the use of antimicrobials in pigs, which has allowed the generation of practical knowledge for the sector and the publication of the advances made in top journals scientific in the last years.
